Well after 6 years of saying eh do I really need them I bought some Lasfit LEDs. Really nicely put together, but they lack that clunk the OEM holders give you when seated. I wish I would have done them sooner. It's interesting how far they light up reflectors and street signs, but meet the specified height and cutoff to not blind oncoming drivers.
My trusty BC BRs are also getting tired after 100,000 miles. Three of the shocks are starting to get that "skateboard" effect. I know I'll be slower at autocross, but I'm willing to sacrifice a bit for comfort. The roads over here are just too rough and spherical top mounts on coilovers simply don't make sense. I've narrowed my choices down to either stock R Estate/Variant springs with B6s, 034 RS3 Springs with B8s, or the left field Alltrack Springs with B4s and a B2BFab lift. For some reason e-acca doesn't acknowledge Hawaii's existence so will likely end up with the 034/B8 option. My goal is to fit 255s or 265s without rubbing under compression.
Also got a new windshield. Fuyao from Safelite for $450 installed. The quality of the glass is terrible compared to OEM. I really would like to find one of the mythical Saint Gobains. Still bummed I had to pay for a new windshield despite homeboys illegal truck throwing a rock shattering it.
