Plug for Fortune Auto lol
Fortune doesn't look bad, 1850 is pretty steep for the base set. If the new APR kit isn't worth might stay on those H&Rs I mentioned. Still have DCC to worry about so might just buy another set of H&R Sport Springs for the new car. Ride wasn't too bad the 2 times I drove it LOL.

I've heard good things about Fortune, also Karcepts seems to be a winner. And I'm very fond of the Koni Yellows.

For a casual street suspension I'm loving the ST XAs, adjustable damping and height and they feel pretty smooth without being floaty.

Was looking at the ST's too, about the same price as the H&Rs. Might go either way once I'm ready. I like being able to keep DCC on springs and I'm sure any kit the keeps DC with coilovers is gonna be $$$.

Zhong zhong offers up to 380mm. I'm looking at 355mm to give myself more wheel options and because I want to see if the factory mk8 R rotors would work with them.

And where can you get TTRS calipers, lines and discs for $1200?

Just make sure they come from an IATF certified factory.

IATF inspector: "Yep, that looks like a factory if I've ever seen one"

I also noticed that the EQT coilovers have pretty good reviews. Lots of options out there for sure..
Pretty much between H&R, ST-XTAs, and EQT now since theyre all about the same price. Will have to do some research on all and see what works better for me. Just need something to lower and drive well, not doing any street racing or track days.

Bilstein B6 Damptronic with the H&R springs. The Bilstein B16 coils with Damptronic are 3k.

I was waffling on non-DCC coils, but the failure rate on the cancellers is stupid high and they’re $400.

I'll look into that too, hadn't considered going that route. Thanks for reminding me

Feels puny compared to the recent suspension discussion, but I put on Koni Special Active shocks and struts, with new mounts front and rear and new strut bearings, plus some greasable Energy Suspension sway bar bushings on the rear while I was at it.

Because I'm slow and have limited car work time, I installed the shocks a week ago and the struts this weekend. New rear Konis and tired factory struts were a little squirrelly for the week in between!

I'd run those Konis (under the previous FSD branding) on my E46 330i and liked them. With admittedly only short around-town drives so far, I'm equally pleased with them on the GTI. Reasonably compliant on uneven roads, but firm up and respond well in corners. And the clunking on broken pavement is gone!

I'm disappointed the factory suspension wore out so quickly (just under 47k miles), but that seems to be the case on many cars.
