Replaced the plugs. Had an oh shit moment when one of the bolts fell down into the engine bay. Got it out after some fishing and rocking the car back. Plugs look good 10k on Ruths on APR Stage 1 91 Oct Low Torque.

Replaced AC blower motor at 149k miles. Oiled it at 80k & 105k miles when it started acting up. I was going to do that again but I've been driving long distance & didn't want to get stuck without AC.

PSA : rotate your tires. I've been lazy after I stopped tracking & ended up with fronts that look like this.

Changed the front PP diff fluid for the first time at 120K...woopsies. The oil was pretty dark, but the filter was clean, so that was good.

I also replaced the DP hanger, as it was squeaking whenever I went over small bumps.

Finally got around to installing coilovers yesterday, super happy with the look.

The install itself was SHOCKINGLY (lol) easy, I was expecting a lot more cursing and rage. The 2x4 method was stupid easy the strut just fell out on both sides.
Thankful I tried the DIY instead of paying $450.

Gonna keep dialing the height in the next week or 2 then get an alignment

Gave my GSW4Mo a quick clean before heading over to Kona for a car meet. Doesn't look too bad for just under 6 years, 141,000 miles, 1 deer, 2 retreads, and a tire wall. Need to reinstall my GTI bumper at some point, but all the replacement trim pieces I need add up to over a grand not including shipping!

I think if you went gloss black, you’d lose definition in the lines…. Paint matching would make it stand out more imho

That. when I was considering this one I was trying to decide between full paint match vs gloss black winglets. Since I’m a darker color I don’t think it would have made much difference.

Today I took the intake manifold off to replace all 4 injectors. One injector was stuck open and needed to be replaced. I found it strange that the injector went out at only 75K miles. While I was there I did a carbon cleaning. I did it all by hand but I think it came out great. Also, the injector issue is fixed and the car is running better than ever now.

Man that is my fronts as well, despite having an alignment done right when fresh tires went on. Not sure what the deal is.

That looks so good. I think I am going to follow that paint scheme. I plan to have the roof wrapped to match the sunroof and believe this will more closely follow the look I am after.
