Did a winter wash in the garage and waxed the bottom half and the hatch.
I only did the side pillar by hand. The entire car I used a harbor freight polisher. I ended up returning it since I only needed to use it one time lol. I'm spend the money for a quality one that weighs much less than HF polisher.Looks amazing for your first time!
Looks like a pro did the paint!
What polisher did you use?
Edit: I saw your post that you did it by hand. Your body must hate this decision by now ha!
Was it better or worse than removing the turbo and doing the wastegate on a work bench would have been? Sounds like it might have been worth it to avoid all that.Yesterday I changed out the springs in my wastegate, a total of 3 are in it to make it rate for 26psi. My tuner asked for the 14psi spring to be in it so I had to remove 2 of them. That was the easy part. The hard put was removing and installing the wastegate due to its location and what you have to do to the wastegate when isntalling it. As you can see in the picture, it's located directly under the turbo and both the turbo and wastegate connect to the exhaust manifold via an adapter. Removing the wastegate wasn't too bad, just had to remove the DP first and then push some lines out of the way. Re-installing it was a f'ing bitch!!! You have to push hard enough with one hand in order to get the diapharm to move up so that the wastegate sits flush against the adapter. While applying pressure with my left hand, I had to make sure the clamp was on correctly and then tighten it with my right hand. Not an easy task to do and it took multiple trys to get it right.

The way I did it was the easy way. It would have been a lot to remove that big heavy turbo just to get to the wastegate. Was it better or worse than removing the turbo and doing the wastegate on a work bench would have been? Sounds like it might have been worth it to avoid all that.
Shit!!! and I was bitching about trying to install the hat back on my PW66 wastegate with 18# in springs, a 16.6# and 1.8#... I would had been pissed to do your car.Yesterday I changed out the springs in my wastegate, a total of 3 are in it to make it rate for 26psi. what are you tuned for, or are you just doing that to try it out? E will reduce knock for sure even if not tuned for itNot today, but last week when I found out the Shell station right in front of the apartments I am staying while the house is built sells E85. So for the first time I added 2 gal E85 and topped off with 93. I am not sure it is was because it was cold as hell (18 degrees) or the addition of the E but the car is definitely more responsive. I usually don't let the car go to close to empty, so this morning I topped off again with one gal E and 93. At 50 degrees car feels about the same. I guess as long as I am close to this station I will probably continue doing this, sucks because their 93 is more expensive than a Shell down the road, so I may resort to buying a few 5 gal cans once I move to the new house. I top off at least twice a week when the gauge is a little below 1/4 tank.
