First oil change today at 8500k. I used Amsoil European formula 5w-40. Was almost $15 a quart at O'Reilly. I hope it's worth it. I'll probably be going with something else next time just because of the cost.

Still waiting on my Eurodyne Powertap coming today. Where are you UPS man? I need more power now.

Also ordered 034 dogbone mount.

15$ a quart......? So what 75$-90$ Well that was a massive waste of money. Why not go with the better Mobil1 full synthetic 5 quarts for 22$ bucks

I heard good things and people have had good results with Amsoil so I bought it.

Just don't blow an engine/turbo on Amsoil, as it's not VW 502 approved and warranty could be denied for not using VW-approved motor oil. You'd obviously want proof of purchase of 502-approved oils in your maintenance log for each scheduled oil change if you want the warranty honored on the engine.

Terms like "Application: VW 502.00" and "Engineered for VW 502.00" do not mean "Manufacturer Approval: VW 502.00."

Borla DP, Iron-X and a convex rear view mirror showed up today. Racingline Turbo 90 Inlet Pipe ordered yesterday and for my 2A friends...a Gum Creek holster.

I gave the Broadway rearview mirror a try and it doesn't work too well for me since the front headrests block the view out of the backseat windows, which is the main benefit for me. It may be beneficial if you have a 2 door since the window placements might be different. Just FYI for anyone considering it.

Yes, and I am not an Amsoil hater. I really like their products, especially their severe duty gear oil in my 4x4. If they were VW 502 approved, I'd have no hesitation using their oil while under warranty. As it stands, I am using Motul 8100 X-Cess since it received VW approval.
