Swung by my friend's dealership after a couple p2004/p2006/p2015 codes the last couple days. Gonna schedule a warranty replacement and have carbon cleaning done whilst it's open.

Hurts less when I know I'm saving ~ $2k

I made ones just like these that stop right at the same height as the side skirt! my thinking was they'd protect the fenders and rockers from rock chips with wider and stickier tires.

Material is PE-HD. Used a jigsaw to cut it in shape, scissors for 45degree angles, sand paper and razor blade smooth them out.

Dropped off the MK7 at the shop today. I been chasing an small oil leak I been having. Thought it was the oil pan, upgraded to steel. Thought it was timing cover, it wasn't. Turned out to be oil cooler. Replaced the two seals on that attached to the oil cooler and the engine. Leak was one of the reason why my coolant looked like nesquik chocolate milk. Only issue I have on the list is an intermittent rough start that stalls the car unless I blimp the throttle or a no start. Only thing on the list I can think of is fuel filter as of now.

Another note, it’s dumb i know but i finally tried something else on OBD11.. i activated “assisted lighting” to the regular set up menu and turned it off.. and majic- no more DRLs unless i flip the switch.. i had Activated DRLs with hand brake down and it was getting annoying seeing them on all the time but now they are completely off unless i turn Them on.. it’s like going back to a weird stock setting

I wish there were more options for ball seat lug nuts. I know they make the conversion washers but they like to roll away and get lost when I take the wheels off.

I have a bunch of apex black 17mm nuts. I might buy a set of 19mm nuts from 034 at some point. they get beat up with the impact often enough that I usually have an excuse to get more.
