I thought this was just my car. I have a 23 tiguan SE, and my phone was almost too hot to hold. Will no longer be charging it wirelessly. It’s not limited to aftermarket adapters. If I throw my phone in the charging cubby in our 23 Tiguan and running wireless CarPlay it absolutely overheats the phone and stops charging. The only way arou d it is to charge via cable.
How far was the can from the caliper when you spray it? Looks like a lot of orange peel which occurs when you are too far away or move too fast with 2k spray. Just on the face, the shoulder looks fine.Mods lead to more mods…after picking up the 18x9 wheels I was rubbing slightly over bumps. Installed the Euro Sport camber kit. I also removed the calipers and painted them once again. Used Eastwood spray epoxy. Way more user friendly than the G2.

Here is the print out from the shop. They don’t want to mess with the alignment right now. I found a shop that will work with modified/lowered cars.
Is there something I should look at prior to taking it to the next shop?? Left front is way more camber than anticipated. Like I mentioned, I just installed the euro sport street camber kit in the top hats and to do that I removed the whole strut assembly.

I noticed that, tooThat needs looked into. Did you do the work yourself? Don't take this the wrong way, but did you by chance install that passenger side camber puck in backwards, as in giving you positive camber? Because that's what it looks like to me...
Add DP and spacer and chime back in. Will wake it up at 10mph.Had the opportunity to test out the DTR's claimed "wakes up after 90mph" unofficial slogan. Yep. The rumors were true, but I've grown to hate the stock downpipe.
I drove back to the house and pulled the cowl off to take a look. The insert rotated about 45deg when I was attempting to torque it and didn’t notice. Removed, fixed the insert alignment and everything is back together now. Definitely a big difference in steering wheel. Going to get an alignment on Monday. That needs looked into. Thanks man. The socks match the shoes now. HahaLove your car man, that combo looks really good.

In my experience, If something doesn’t look right it probably isn’t. Also, it’s typically operator error. I wasn’t rushing the job, just focused on proper torque and overlooked a very important part.
I pride myself on taking my time but I clearly didn’t follow that process today. We have a phrase at work,, STAR, stop, think, act, review. I always talk about how well it works when I use it.Nice, always some lessons to be learned.
So the reason I asked that, was because I did that exact thing, and wasted an alignment because I was rushed and ignored the process of validating my work.
You mind snagging closeups of the calipers? Might go the same route with my ST40sThanks man. The socks match the shoes now. Haha
I would also accept "shit that ain't right" and the ever popular "start typing a resume"I pride myself on taking my time but I clearly didn’t follow that process today. We have a phrase at work,, STAR, stop, think, act, review. I always talk about how well it works when I use it.
On rear camber, I want to tuck the rear tires in just a little. I’m going to ask the alignment shop to add a little more -camber on Monday.
Make sure you let them know it’s for fitment purposes and to gain the camber via the upper control arm eccentric bolt as best as they can. Otherwise they may prioritize it via the lower control arm one (Easier) to get to and while that will make the camber more negative it will do so by widening the track width and you’ll still have the same view of poke at the top.I pride myself on taking my time but I clearly didn’t follow that process today. I didn’t prep them as well as I should have considering I was changing color. It was tough getting them really clean. I didn’t have as much time as I had planned but overall they turned out good. You mind snagging closeups of the calipers? Might go the same route with my ST40s
That's the plan lol.Add DP and spacer and chime back in. Will wake it up at 10mph.
