Back in my Mk6 days all I wanted was dark cherry euro tails, and short of the color the original mk7 tails are kinda based off those, so I’ve always liked them.

Myself with help from those who came before me. Learning a lot and have been able to do a lot on my own, need hand holding for other things, etc.

It’s time consuming and I have pages of notes after just a few days of tinkering, but it’s not outrageously difficult. Just takes time and patience. And a lot of 3rd gear pulls ?

About a month ago I installed a Vortex XL, MPI, HPFP, LPFP, ethanol sensor, intercooler and dogbone. I run about 60% ethanol. The car is a beast. 2015 GTI SE manual.
A few months ago I got one of my girls a 2023 MK8 GTI SE DSG. Every time I drive her car I get depressed. Nice car but it feels like a snail compared with mine.

I had a JB4 and didn’t like it. Besides, I already have a custom stage 3 software, which is more than enough. I also have a Burger pedal tuner.

Yesterday installed the sachs performance clutch w/ DMF and rms installed paired with the BFI trans mount. Took off the iAbed & switched it to stock RMS. iAbed was leaking. Replaced it twice. Had it leaking for 1.5 years cause I couldn’t afford to drop the trans a 3rd time. Super slow leak. Barely even leaked. For the clutch it was the 2nd time I install this sachs clutch. Pedal feel doesn’t feel like how the first sachs clutch felt and its the same clutch kit. I remember when I did the clutch the first time it was super stiff when bringing the pedal to the ground. Now it feels super soft to me imo. Engages good just clutch pedal feels weird to me. This is my 2nd time ever changing a clutch I guess I’ll have to get used to it. Worried the clutch pedal will not come back up when pressing it in sometime. Overall, car maintenance has been up to date at 100k.

Flashed and logged the 8th revision of my open source diy tune. Getting closer. Feels good. Wouldn’t be able to get this far without all the helpful people.
