That trans housing looks great powder coated.Dusted off my box of used parts I’ve had on the shelf waiting for installation.
Started off with the EQT muffler delete (half inch larger outlet than stock, and pairs with the EQT TOP) while I had easy access.
Installed my new ACT clutch, the transmission & a new to me Billet BFI transmission mount. View attachment 284794View attachment 284795View attachment 284796
Stopped there for breakfast, and then our daughter got sick so now I’m hanging out with her. I’ll get up early again tomorrow morning to button up the rest (less the axles) so Friday morning I can install the new wheel bearings and that’ll be a wrap (if they arrive tomorrow on schedule, and nothing else comes up).
The OG BFI transmission insert & OEM mount it’s been installed in for 130k miles had no visible wear at all BTW.

Finally wrapped the MQ350 full rebuild & WaveTrac installation up this morning.
Planning to slap it back in the car tomorrow morning.

Bet you’re looking forward to getting her back on the road!

Hmmm, not seeing it in the picture but I assume drilled this out for neutral position sensor, as needed for start/stop retrofit.
Ugghhh, such privilege... to be able to choose to delete start/stopOur GLI has start/stop, which I deleted with a harness because it drives me nuts lol
TCR body and composite doors have come along way...

Got any thoughts/opinions on the EQT TOP/pipe kits in general? Not planning to go any bigger than IS38 so I don't know if it's worth it. Money isn't as much a factor as headache, I'm fine with spending money on something IF it's not likely to be a point of frustration in the future.Worked on it a bit more this morning.
Bled the clutch line
Installed the dog bone & axle cups
Installed the EQT TOP with some fresh ClampCo T bolt clamps.
Pulled the wheels off (wheel bearings coming this afternoon).
Also had Mini7 swing by to pick up his new 4” DP & talked a good while about cooling stack development & other track related mods.

Really not needed unless going hybrid. Even with 5 bar sensors and pushing the 38 on e85, stock should be able to keep up.Got any thoughts/opinions on the EQT TOP/pipe kits in general?
