Got in it to discover I'd left it unlocked overnight and some junkies stole my COBB Accessport.

Luckily I still have the pre-EPA crackdown EQT Stage 2 tune on my computer. Is there any reason to contact COBB about the stolen one? Can I just pay for a new one and be good to go? Will this old .ptm file from EQT work with a new Accessport?

Car hasn't been flashed in years, is unlikely to be soon, so really just an annoyance. Sad that there are people desperate enough to be rifling through someone's car at 5am.

The flash is locked to the AP IIRC. Contact Cobb to find out what you can do.

Well behind on working on the GTI... between yesterday and today I cleaned the wife's OEM SQ5 wheels and my summer wheels. The SQ5 go on storage, and my summers got coated with Opti Coat Pro, and Optimum Tire Coating. I hate doing the tire coating by hand, as Optimums coating dries rather quickly, but my compressor is not plugged in yet, I can see some stroke marks from the foam but I'm sure no one will see them as I drive by. Noticed some streaking, so I may do a second pass before installing them tomorrow.

The good thing is that it is formulated to breakdown with Optimum Power clean, and as long as I use a Ph neutral soap the coating won't degrade. Wheels grabbed a little sheen, expected when coating satin wheels.

You're probably SOL. The tunes are locked to the AP's serial number. Since the new AP will have a different serial number, the tunes won't work. You could try asking EQT if they could update your current tune to work with a new AP, but I wouldn't hold your breath.

I have heard of Cobb offering a discount if you have a police report saying it was stolen, but no first hand experience myself.

Hows it feel? Also, what pushing is that you have installed?
Powerflex Hybrid (assuming you meant bushing) w/ BFI Stage 1 engine + tranny insert mounts

1st impression was extremely positive, turned the A/C on and there's no drone in my ears at idle. Rejoice! Then driving through the neighborhood I forgot the A/C was running because the shifts felt so crisp. With the stock arm shifts felt laggy with the A/C on, like it wasn't grabbing as smoothly especially with how fast the SMFW revs drop. Even taking off in 1st is a smoother experience now. It basically eliminated most of the "parasitic drain" feeling the A/C caused before w/ SMFW, mounts, etc. Also WOT in 2nd feels grippier and my 200tw tires are no longer hopping in 3rd. Miracle worker.

Then 2nd drive I was sitting in traffic and that's when things really heated up under the hood (yesterday was mid-90s, great movie btw) and then the A/C NVH came back - droning throughout the cabin. Slightly quieter than it was before but still annoying and disappointing from the first drive. Also, idk how many other people have this problem but when the car gets really hot it kind of stutters when taking off in 1st... feels like it's starting to stall and the AP3 shows KR anywhere from -1 to -4. With the RE arm that stalling feeling/vibrations are reduced but it's still there unfortunately.

TL;DR- Am I happy with the purchase? Yes. Did it fix all my problems? No. Still need more time behind the wheel before I can really review it. Curious to see if it softens up in a few hundred miles and reduces NVH even further
