Got mine ready for SCCA Track Night in America this Thursday at Dominion Raceway in VA. Switched to my track 17x9s with 255/40 Accelera 651 Sports. Swapped in my APR track f. brake pads. Bled the brakes with Motrul RBF600. Checked my wheel hardware (stud kit - will replace this year). Checked my suspension bits/bobs/wheel bearings. Replaced my 034 f. adjustable end links...had them 1 year and they were starting to make noise...a big FSB/hard use hammers them. All good/quiet/ready to rock Thursday.

We seriously need an Off-topic "Insurance - all barracks lawyers enter here" thread....

In all honesty....it would be AWESOME if one of us really was a lawyer and could set us straight with the standard disclaimer "this is for informational purposes only" mumbo jumbo for cya.....
It would be tough, as laws are different state to state.

The real cost to our umbrella policy is they require a low deductible and highest coverage to qualify for the umbrella policy. The umbrella policy itself is cheap.

Yup..,true….it would have to be a disclaimer.

That said, after your post I put a question in to my rep to see what the savings would be if I raised my deductible

My umbrella allows $500 deductible. Every insurer will be different.

If I didn't have the umbrella, I'd do $1000.

Did some auto-x yesterday. 2nd fastest raw time, 6/20 after pax. Fighting the TCU is getting old, but it's a process when you install a transmission that isn't original to the car. It's still torque limited, sporadically auto up/down shifting and has no launch control. Decided it's finally time for a harness(even a quick fit) and some hood vents. Would like to do a carbon hood, but I think that's out due to shipping costs. OEM R or CSF auxiliary coolers are also likely in my near future. Auto-X speeds are too slow so my temps are higher after a couple runs than a 60 minute HPDE session.

GTI got backed into at a stop light. My g/f was driving. Don't know the whole story as to why he would go into reverse and mash the gas. Guy drove off, but not before my g/f was able to get his plate.

Might have been an insurance scam, or someone who didn't know they were in reverse (and subsequently didn't have insurance and/or a license)

Good thing she got the plate. I really need to get cameras for our cars.

Looks like the damage is minimal. Some scratches on the front bumper and it cracked the front emblem.

I guess your headlights got damaged too, right ;-) Time to get the insurance pay for new ones...
