Where's the after

I was able to talk her into getting the Rampage titanium stud conversion... the craftsmanship is definitely top-notch. Too bad they are 19mm lug nuts and they won't fit into the wheels I have in the GTI. She's already talking about tuning once the powertrain warranty expires and getting an RS package brake upgrade. I guess I can play with those black Brembos and see if I can adapt them somehow to the GTI.

Oh that conversion hardware looks really nice!
Only thing I don't like, and I was aware when I told her to order is that any rough handling will scratch it, and you have to handle them with gloves... as your hand oils will stain the anodizing. You can clean it, but it is a PITA. If I decide to change the cheap 65mm EuroTuning one I have I will go with the 75mm Motorsport Hardware sell with their 17mm MH Titan Cold Forged Alloy Steel Race nuts. They have the same 65mm EuroTuning sale but for almost triple the price.

Oh, I may have to order those nuts now that you link it! Cause they have 12 x 1.5 options as my current studs are 14 to 12 conversions at 75mm length too but they have 19mm nuts and even with a thin wall I had to remove the plastic sleeve and tesa tape the socket and even then is very stressful using the sockets 😂.

Installed a used billy boat catted downpipe yesterday and flashed Eurodyne Stage 2 91 octane. Sounds pretty decent with the stock catback. To my surprise there were no nuts holding on the OEM downpipe to the bracket and I was able to get the thing out in like 20 mins. That doesn't give me the best confidence in the previous owner or shops lol... but I have not been able to find any evidence of any other tinkering or mods except a couple bumper screws missing.

I'd pull the o2 sensor line a bit more towards the connector as it's a bit close to that vband. Don't wanna melt that.

Thanks, I actually just moved that earlier lol. I checked the vband clamp as well and it seemed it may have loosened a bit over the course of the day. I tightened it a little more and I'll check it tomorrow.

Car wouldn't start Sunday, so new battery installed Sunday. Seemed like over the course of two or three days the cranks just got slower until Sunday AM it just ticked. Awesome.

Got whatever the o'Reilly's performance battery is. Would've loved to upgrade to something really nice and significantly lighter, but cost aside, local options are limited and I didn't have time to wait for shipping since it was a holiday weekend and it's my DD.

I’d buy that “C” line now while it’s available, the “D” aka drivers side line is already discontinued from what I saw.
Yea, the D side was more difficult to find, found one in a warehouse in Japan...probably one of the few left in the world!
