Yes finally did using Klean Strip Gum and adhesive remover. Sprayed it on and let it sit for about 2 minutes and with a little elbow grease it came off.

Interesting platform. 40+HP/tq withouth touching the ecu. Hmmm. Is this something new on the market? I have not come across a thread of someone testing this.

Following my "less is more" modding theme with this car, I replaced the factory air filter with a K&N filter. First 30 min. commute resulted in about 2mpg improvement in fuel consumption although that could just be due to the ECU getting used to the increased air flow.

Thinking about that K&N myself. Since guys recommend getting a tune first then jump to a different intake. This filter might be a good start till I decide to flash the ecu.

Blue is the oiled version and the grey is dry. right? I'm new in the world of mods . Never heard about AFE before. Looks like they have cold intake kits too. Not for the Mk7 yet.
