Unplugged the SoundAktor, and I love it :)

Yeah, how can it be done? I cant hear my exhaust at all. I know Some people use VAGCom to turn it off. Using this

Code:
A9 Struct. Borne Sound
Adaptation - 10
Select "Channel of structure borne sound actuator"
Change value to 0% to turn off

Will have to try this. Some say you can her the sound of the turbo and the intake when soundaktor is OFF

Installed rear Volvo plate bracket. (thx Roger2050!) Looks nice and clean now. No more free dealer advertisement.

Then I took off my dealer installed front bracket, only to find 5 holes underneath! What a bunch of imbeciles :mad::mad:

I was considering covering them with white plastic hole plugs like Ive seen some people do on the forum, but 5 holes is just too much. I have to fix the bumper at a shop eventually. For the moment I installed a vw gti front plate bracket a friend of mine gave me.

let me guess, you got it from GunKata right? I remember it when I checked his mk6 build

The rear bracket i got it from following Roger2050 on vwvortex. Few more people have this. It works great! Probably on of the best options for a rear plate out there.

Can you explain this I've noticed a lot of people doing it. What are the benefits and cons

There is a thread on this very issue here, just do a search for soundaktor.

It took me all but 5 minutes to disconnect it physically. Yes you can also use software to disable it.

I think for me the car sounds a lot better now, the true engine sound comes out, and with hard acceleration the exhaust tune is cool as well. However everyone has different likes and so I will only suggest you try it, and if you don't like it connect it back up again :)

Finally got my goodies from ECS. Have to say they are always worth the wait. Great stuff. VWR sport springs from USP Motorsports. Slotted/cross drilled front and rear rotors. 15mm front and 20mm rear spacers with bolts from ECS.

I know how, but the only benefit is the sound of the engine while driving? As if the engine has an exhaust but still is factory correct but what is the cons of doing this

There are no cons of doing this. Just try it and see if you like the natural sound of the engine. If you do not, then plug it back in and you're back to artificial noise :)

Turned off the soundaktor this morning by manually unplugging the connector. The difference is big. The cabin is more quiet, sounds similar as my Mk6 now. At some point you can even hear the turbo whine. I will try to experiment a bit with VAGCom and soundaktor at different % levels. Maybe 30%, just to spice things up a bit :D. I made couple of videos too, I'll upload them soon and you can hear the diference
