For shits and grins, I autocrossed on the Noble S2's the first weekend when I bought the 18. I was surprised the amount of lateral grip they had, equally surprised how bad they were under braking and acceleration. Just a weird tire. Reminds be of the old RE92's that came OEM on the GD WRX's.

I for shits and grins, I did a track day with the 19 the first weekend I owned it, with the addition of the 26mm rear bar I took off the 18. The 19 had the Bridgestone AS tires, whatever they were, and at 7 to 8/10ths, they did really well. A little squirmy under braking, a little soft, but had all around decent grip laterally, under braking, and under acceleration.
Thanks.. yes thats it...the Hankooks were not squirmy and seemed to have great lateral grip but did not inspire a lot grip overall..
the Michelins feel both tight and grippy.

I think I may have a rear sway bar in my future but don't want one that gives too much oversteer...

Stick with a RSB under 25 mm and you'll be fine. Makes it pretty neutral.

No such thing, unless you go 26mm, stock suspension, zero toe, and go lower than -1.5 degree negative camber in the rear, then it gets super dicey.

It's really hard to get these things to oversteer.

This. With my 26mm bar the only way I’ve ever induced oversteer was with worn tires in the rain at the limit. Take any of those three factors out and it’s a non issue.

Also, if you’ve ever had anything fun to drive prior it’s also a non issue.

Dropped it off at the dealership, the oil leak I thought I fixed is still there, and the water pump is leaking. I considered doing the water pump myself, but I just don’t have the time or will to take it on.

Online shopped so I can get rid of it. I'm honestly tired of having a daily driver that I care so much about. I got hit by a semi back in August, and now that it's finally all fixed someone hits me in a parking lot and doesn't leave a note. I just need a beater that I drive every day and don't give a shit about.

Me creeping by the speedtrap after doing absolutely awful things one turn back. I know he heard the GTI Jake exhaust... here's to hoping I was far enough out in the country backroads for there not to be any cameras.

I've put probably less than 1k miles on my GTI since buying an '03 forester for $700 last year. Was supposed to be a winter beater, but its also a great car for driving to my muddy and hectic workplace, and to park in sketchy spots where door dings are likely.

Got some badgeskins in the mail yesterday and decided that today was a good day to do some cosmetic upgrades. Also changed the turn signal lights in my mirrors to the dynamic ones.

No new PRs unfortunately due to traffic and heat issues but otherwise a solid day. Was able to match my old PR even with traffic so did gain some speed. Also met a few other GTI owners, I think there were 5 total there, solid showing.
