Installed an APR short shifter and raised the height my raceseng knob a little bit. So far no complaints. Shifts feel better. Feels good just not having the giant throw.

I went for a nice long drive this morning and after the mods I have done recently, this car feels fucking awesome.

Super late for doing this, but here goes the information I was going to try and post a long time ago lol. I installed mk8 LCA Areo covers with my RS3 brake ducts. I used two of the rivet-style plastic clips and two bolts. I have to modify it in a few spots to allow for the mounts for the brake ducts and one of the holds didn't exactly line up so I drilled a new hole. Other than that I am pleased with the results all things considered. Parts utilized:

M6 bolts and nuts x 2

Stock suspension. The dynamic shocks thingies put in work. They aren’t perfect but by far better than previous vehicles I’ve tracked

edit I ran Michelin pilot sport 4s’s

Can't really compare DCC to standard suspension though

I noticed that last month. I was a passenger in someone’s GTI S. At the track. I also got to drive a friends GTI a few months ago, he didn’t have dcc.

those Gti’s handle and feel remarkably different.

Now imagine how a standard Golf might feel on the track, being that it's softer (and rides higher) than any GTI, haha. I went from that to DCC and man alive the difference is nutso, and I'm just driving some canyon twisties.

The difference is definitely remarkable

I’m gonna be brave and say vw cheapened the suspension feeling on the non dcc cars so the dcc equipped cars could feel the way they do. Pretty dirty of them

@Keehs360 I suppose it's possible. But I think the biggest thing is that DCC is always active. Even in comfort it's doing its thing, monitoring ride height and acceleration of 3 corners.

I drove with the DCC dampers installed but without the DCC module powered (needed to get basic settings done). In "failsafe" mode they behave like traditional dampers. That feeling was somewhere between comfort/normal but without the poise, if you will.
