Busy day. I threw a haldex plump failure a few weeks ago so 1st drained the diff and pulled the haldex pump. The filter was mostly clean. Refilled the system, ensured the code was cleared, ran the car again and fault came up again. Guess I'm gonna have to get a new pump now.


While I was changing fluids I went ahead and changed the oil. Oil extractor is great, wish you could pump the fluid out.

It runs! First crank it fired right up! Set all the smoke alarms off while it burned off some old oil and fluids. Let it run for about 15 min and there are no leaks, no smells and no CEL! Need to redo the passenger CV joint, managed to get it 2 or 3 splines off and I don't want to remove/replace the boot. Quick fix and I'll be on the road!

Did the golf R center arm rest unlock from ECS. Considering all it is are plastic sliders, the price is pretty steep... $73cdn. I mean, I like that I have that extra storage, but I thought there'd be more to it for the price.

Did an oil change. Oil looked great still. There was a receipt from one oil change in the glove box, but with 3500 miles on it figured I'd change it again just to get on a routine.

last night put in an Odyssey AGM battery with a friend. We used his battery tender to keep the car powered during the swap and it doesn't seem to have lost any settings. It had been cranking slowly for a couple days in a row and one morning last week it finally crapped. I believe it was the original battery, which lasted from feb 2015 to now and just about 50k. Went with the stock 47 size to keep the felt box and not add weight, the autobahn is heavy enough as is lol.

Mishimoto intercooler and AMS downpipe. Long day and although the installs were tedious, I didn’t run into any issues. I bubbled wrapped and taped the DP so I wouldn’t damage the ceramic coating. Loaded the OTS Cobb Stage 2 tune, Tuesday I’ll be at R/T tuning for a ProTune session. I’m super excited.

Why is it locked to begin with?

Swapped out the OEM MT fluid for Motul 300 as I don't believe in lifetime oil. Will change it every 30-50K as it's so easy.
