Installed Noica sound deadening in the spare tire area. Under the rear seat is already done. Doors still to go!

How did you end up dealing with the shark fin area?

A noticeable difference. I mainly did it because I am putting a 12" sub firing down into the spare tire area.
Installing sound deadening on the doors and the trunk will make a difference.
I removed the antenna to wrap underneath.

For me, nothing special today.. just cleaned up my Golf-R real well inside and out. Was not really dirty to begin with, but nice to spend time with her in the garage.

Good job!
I did mine too.. only to find a frikkin wrinkle near the end of the roll that would just not knock out with heat. Ended up taking it off the day installed. The shop gave me a new roll, but been too lazy to redo it.

Added some black vinyl to the lower Chrome in the grill, and used a mixture of tinted vinyl on the clear back up lights. Outers are single layer light smoke with a layer of red on top of that, and the tiny little piece on the hatch is double layer light smoke , hard to pick up unless you’re looking for it...here’s some screenshots from a video I took.

^Solid red looks good, I wanted to tone mine down as well so I put smoked film on those areas.

Bought a DA polisher and buffed out a few nasty scratches in the clearcoat. Looks like the previous owner used a Scotchbrite pad to remove doo-doo or whatnot. I've never owned one of these, so I took it slow, four passes, but it's all gone now. I followed this up by polishing the hood, which had some lesser nasty stuff, and a full wax and interior/exterior detail.
