Started collecting components for my stereo upgrade!

Fender or Non/Fender system? I am asking because I am Fender (2015 MK7) and was actutally looking into installing a mono amp/sub, and I know i need to install an LC2i, but have never done it before.

Thanks! Honestly $150 is a steal if they are doing it properly. Make sure they remove your shark fin which requires getting out the headliner to take it off. Otherwise you'll have a crappy looking area around the shark fin.

Tint is 30% ceramic film which puts my VLT just around legal limit in Washington state.

Right on. Not sure I want them to pull down my headliner. In my experience once it's been pulled down it never goes back up right. Don't want a droopy liner. Was that an issue with yours? I believe they use knifeless tape and from what I've seen their jobs look pretty clean.

That 30% looks great. Sadly Wisconsin is 50% front 35% rear, but when you add that to the 72% our glass already is from the factory I'd have to go 70% front 50% rear to be completely legal. Was thinking of just going 50% all around since 70% is only available in the most expensive ceramic.

No problems with my headliner but have to trust them to do good work haha. They use knifeless tape everywhere else but trying to get the vinyl to fit around the shark fin can actually be more troubling and not get the perfect shape. Very little liner needs to be removed and you can reach the nut to undo the shark fin.

Also Washington is 24% VLT so I'm sitting around 22% I think. You can probably get away with putting on 50% tint in the front, I think it's pretty rare to get pulled over for that especially at such high VLTs like you have.

Got the Maxton diffuser insert installed last night and had to get the tape to set by whatever means necessary, haha. Very pleased with the fitment, just a couple areas that need some attention on the tape sticking but overall Im really like it...sorry for dirtiness of the car

That looks so much better than the normal mk7 version! also where did you get your spoiler lip from?

Remember to check the DP bolt after a couple heat cycles. It will probably need a bit of tightening.
Thanks for that.... Noted.... Wasn't aware, so appreciate it!

You beat me to it, I'm jealous. :) St.2?

Not yet fully. I'll wait for a fall or winter Uni sale

I got some negative response last time I posted some of my MIB2/Virtual Cockpit experiments... but since the majority is positive, here you go:

I did some playing around with the display of maps on the MIB2.5 and the AID. Most notable changes during the experiment:

- Average FPS display on AID enabled

- Show full screen map on MIB2 screen

Is this useful? Nahhh not really. But the ultimate goal would be to have Google Maps on the AID, just like Audi has :)
Are both screens mods?
