What did you do to your mk7 today?

Hello friend! Haven't seen many other owners with CO's... but there are a few of us

What size tires are you running? I'm on stock tires and am thinking about stepping up to 235 section width when it's time to replace. Yours look a little meatier which I think looks good on these cars.

Thanks! I love BBS wheels but not a lot of people seem to run them on mk7's for whatever reason.

They're actually 225/45/18, Michelin Pilot Super Sports. I previously had them on my mk5 and kept them when I got my mk7.5. When the day comes to replace them I'd probably go 235 but I'm happy with how the current rubber performs.

BBS wheels are often quite heavy.

For me polished the LED tails on my Golf-R. For some there were very minor by visible swirls in the brand new pair I installed last month. After polishing applied a coat of carnauba wax to give it that extra pop (not a daily driver).

Yeah, I was planning to get the 19 inch CI-R's until I saw the weight.. 24lbs each. When my stock 19" Pretoria's are several lbs lighter I just couldn't justify paying money to anchor them down.

I ended up with the OZ HyperGT's in 19. They are 21lbs.. but I never run them. LOL

Got the rear coil recall completed on my GSW and the hvac recirc motor replaced under warranty (tap tap tap). Left tune on...I like to live on the edge.

Still haven’t driven it. Had to wait because of the windshield replacement and then went out with the family (in the Jeep).

BBS wheels can be heavy but for me, meh, whatever. I commute daily with my car so saving 3 or 4 pounds a corner makes little difference to my drive. If I was tracking the car I'd get a dedicated track set of wheels and tires.

Checked out my Nagasaki noisy boi, and to my surprise no visible damage or shaft play at 75k miles



It started squealing at the top of third gear on three occasions lately so I’m surprised at that

Changed my oil for my car’s first 10k service (well it was more like 10.5k lol) with the ECS Tuning kit. Love how they have a sticker. And I know it’s been said here before, but I love how the drain plug on our cars functions. Most cars I’ve worked on have drain plugs which are essentially screws, but those genius German engineers made a plug with a locking mechanism

You are also supposed to replace the drain plug with every oil change. That doesn't seem very genius to me. It can be reused but obviously VW doesn't recommend it. I would have preferred a steel oil pan with a traditional drain plug.

Yup, I replaced the drain plug. A new drain plug came with the kit.

I went with a steel pan and fumoto valve. Or just use an oil extractor.

I’m going to guess you were quietly hoping for damage so you could have an excuse to go EQT hybrid is38 lol.
