You got yours new for 18k?

Close. 15k miles single owner. All the prices for SE and above in my area were outrageous!
Imo if you want to get into a GTI on a budget, you can't beat the sport.
Although if money is no issue, I see no reason to not get an autobahn or rabbit!

What the actual fuck...!

That absolutely sucks about the clear coat, might be a good chance to get a healthy check from their insurance company and then wrap the car rather than repaint (if that's your speed).

Your post makes no sense for the quote that you responded to.

Had an awesome time!

-used a full tank of gas

-got an overheat warning (coolant 280F +)

-275F oil temp

-brake dust and rubber on absolutely everything

-smiling like an idiot the entire time

If you’re on the fence about hitting the track spend a day going over your car (yes I found things to fix), plan it out and go give it a try. Best $160 I’ve ever spent. $300 on a HPDE would be better in most people’s opinion, but just to get your feet wet TNiA is a great time

That's still a very good price, imho. I got my S new for $21.5k, but I most likely would not mind picking up a 15k mi for what you paid for it.

That's one inspiring post. Are you tuned btw? If so, what and for how many mi? I'm asking since your odo is showing 70k+ miles, curious how you've been doing.

Klii white silver inlay. I have to admit, I thought I ordered the wrong color when I opened it up in the house. But once I put it on its match perfect and looks awesome.

Omg I ordered the exact same one and reacted the exact same way. I actually thought about returning my decal for a second till I put it on lol

I paid 18k for a '17 15k miles for an SE with PP and the lighting package. The deals are out there, just have to look around for them.

Yes I’ve been APR tuned since the car was new, it has my (Baun Performance) FMIC & turboback exhaust.

Also- DKM twin disk clutch, ST40 355mm, VWR springs, Indy 500s, Audi A4 wheels, BFI stage 2 mounts, Injen intake & a diy grille scoop. Brisk plugs...im sure I’m forgetting some stuff. It’s basically just how they should’ve come from the factory IMO.

It’s never had a single issue nor ever once been back to the dealership (probably why it’s done so well lol)

Installed the self dimming Homelink mirror. I was expecting the install to be a little more difficult. The A pillar removal was straightforward.

Additional work: the short mirror trim was too short, the long one was too long. I used a dremel to shorten the long trim.

I also passed my radar detector wire through the mirror trim by cutting a slit in the trim's side. It looks much better than before with the wires hanging out all over.

My stock mirror now resides in my wife's Beetle, whose stock mirror is tiny.

Finally got around to doing my rear brake upgrade to stoptech sport rotors and pads, and got the roof and front bumper trim wrapped [emoji1362]

Spent all day installing and attempting to adjust a Dieselgeek Sigma Six short shift kit, along with Dieselgeek shifter bushings and a Raceseng Sphereology shift knob. I just couldn't get the Sigma Six to a place where it felt right so I put the stock shift kit back in.

The Raceseng knob improved the stock shifter feel so much, I might not bother with a short shift kit at all.
