These fucking idiots used a high psi pressure washer at what I can only assume is extremely close range because it peeled off large chunks of clear coat. Now I get to wrestle with the owner to make him pay for repairs.

Sorry i feel your pain. Just can not ever have any thing nice because some one will always get to it.People can be really dangerous and annoying. Makes me super upset to see this crap happen, but its the world we live in.

Wow that truly sucks and that is a lot of those stupid love bugs. Man I feel your pain and I don't miss that about Florida at all. I am from there and still have family near Daytona. Did you know that a couple of idiot scientist at one of the Florida Universities are the ones that actually made the love bugs in a lab? They also have no way of getting rid of them they have tried and there is ZERO value of any kind to humans or any other animals..None can you believe it. The only value is they make you have to wash your car instantly when you get home or they will eat through the clearcoat of your paint and permanently be there!

Fuck that shit. I'd buy a pos beater car just to drive during the bug season if I lived down there and remove their guts with steel wool pads.

How long does the swarming season last? Or is it that bad all spring/summer?

It’s usually only about 3 weeks to a month, once but sometimes twice a year. Thanks everyone for the kind words, it’s quite irritating but I’m trying to not let it get to me. I’ve only had the car for 2 weeks and had a full detail and paint correction planned for this weekend. Guess I’ll be skipping the front bumper and fender.

Man that ripped off clear coat is probably going to be a full repaint to fix and blend. Good lord. How much paintwork before a car gets totaled out?

Thanks for explaining.

Pretty obvious why there was confusion though. I didn't know that 2016 S models did not have push to start. Hence it was confusing to see the key in the ignition.

Klii white silver inlay. I have to admit, I thought I ordered the wrong color when I opened it up in the house. But once I put it on its match perfect and looks awesome.
