Finally said goodbye to my stock wheels and suspensions. VMR 801 wrap with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+. Replaced stock with ST coilovers.

Those 801s look perfect on Reflex Silver. Anthracite? I may have to pick up a set.

Finally installed the Ultimate Racing downpipe.

Pretty easy install process overall. Some parts are a pain in the ass without an extra pair of hands.

This is how a fat guy works underneath his car.

Friend hooked me up with a set of 20mm. Tossed them in the rear and moved the 15mm up front.

I like it more than I thought

Hummm... the after looks like plastic wheel covers..? Was that the goal?

I did coat the hood with cquartz and plan to maintain it with a top coat. Possibly vinyl wrap in the future. I did not consider balancing weight, I guess I gotta research that a bit.

Sounds good on the protective measures. I was just wondering because I've seen so many CF hoods yellow or crack from small chips from the daily drive and getting hit by UV and weather.

If already UV coated would it make sense to get the entire hood wrapped in clearbra? I'm not certain about heat rejection/dissipation which may may not harm the CF.

It was kind of a PITA since I pulled the bumper off to do it right, but I’m pleased with how it turned out!

Looks good! My GTI/Golf-R are my first VW cars so I don't know if how you guys are installing these splitters (by removing the bumper) is the norm or not, but in the J-car world I use well nuts and stainless screws/washers which allows install without removal of the bumper.

Well nuts and stainless screws can be sourced from McMasterCarr (aka guy's candy store).

The splitter is a two piece design that has a “backing plate” made of the same material. Because of the design of the bumper, it needs to be removed so that the backing plate can mount into specific grooves and become more rigid, acting as a piece of the whole bumper vs. the relatively flimsy bottom section of the OEM bumper. Some guys have done it without removing the bumper, but after seeing how difficult it was to do the support bracket, I wouldn’t recommend just installing while still on the car.
