Did some coding to better the caR for the daily grind

-to allow locking of the doors while engine is running
-turned off the stupid vibration reduction thing that doesn't really do much but bog the car on quick starts
-Direct Acceleration tweak to give the throttle a more consistent feel.
-flipped the switch in VCDS to allow the windows to roll up if it rains out and I leave the windows down a bit (when it's hot out)

the two for changing the throttle and turning off vibration reduction really did a number to help make the car feel much better overall.

Added the Boomba blow off valve adapter. Pretty easy to do (15 min) although I would recommend doing on a cold engine.....

Drove it this morning, don't know how long this will stay on the car..... kinda feels rice, since even when driving normal boost is being built and purged in non "spirited" conditions.
No pics.. my bad

Just wait until you get into a 3rd gear partial load situation and the valve starts cycling to control boost...

I'm guessing you had, used and removed?

No, just the GFB kit. When I put it on with an intake you could hear it quite a bit more. It's unsettling the first time it happens, but it was always doing it, you just can hear it all the sudden. I can only imagine what it will sound like with an atmospheric blow off.

Interesting side note - both the stock and Cobb OTS tunes did this cycling a lot, but since I got Stratified tuned, it's never happened again.

Installed BFI Stage I dogbone mount.

Install took a little longer than I thought it would, but wasn't too bad.

Well.....looked under the hood and under the engine to get a 2nd look at it before dropping it off for its DSG service. Found the following;

• Random oil drippings/leaks (all around the valve cover)
• Oil leaking around the oil cap
• Oil on the passenger side of the engine (probably from the valve cover but maybe not?)
• I also took a peek under the engine and noticed a significant amount of oil/grime between the engine and transmission (possibly rear main seal failure)
• Found out the Soundaktor was left unplugged by someone before I bought it and the plug was full of corrosion. I plan on coding it off (or setting it to 0%) but I don’t like the idea of the corroded plug, obviously this might not be covered by warranty but I’m hoping it doesn’t lead to any wiring problems in the future. Unfortunately there is no way for me to prove I wasn’t the one who unplugged it but we will see what they say.
• Loud click/pop/crack sound when I turn the steering wheel left or right (I’m thinking strut bearing but someone suggested it’s could be a bad steering rack)
• Yellow warning signal with a message indicating to service vehicle and to leave it in P position. (Looked it up and have narrowed it down to possible being a common known issue but no recall on this yet with the shift selector chip or something)
• I’ve been noticing my doors are practically frozen shut and I practically need hulk strength sometimes to open them and it feels like I’m going to rip the door handles off during cold mornings especially if it had been raining or snowing the night before (rear doors to be exact) I’ve also noticed water building up in the crevices of the frame seal where it meets the door when shut. Looked it up quickly before and it seems to be a common issue.

And lastly.....I stopped at the dealership about 2 hours before closing and wanted to throw up all of the service requests instead of dealing with it at 7am tomorrow while I’m still had asleep lol. Well, I jumped in the car to pick my son up and what do you know?! The CEL came on, so I added that to the list! lolll

Picture while still at the dealership before leaving to pick my son up from school

So to keep this post on track with what it is intended, what did I do to my car today? Dropped it off for service and ordered a set of H&R Springs [emoji2371]

(I’m just hoping they cover it all under the CPO warranty. I’m obviously expecting to pay for the DSG service but I wasn’t counting on needing any other service work, especially if they end up being costly.

-The End- lol
