This sucks! But great at the same time.

I’ve been noticing coolant scent ever since I bought my car last month as CPO and it’s going in on Tuesday for other random repairs along with the DSG service. I’ll bring it up to them, hope they can find a leak and take care of it. I also noticed a decent amount of what looked like oil drippings (unfortunately I think it was from a poor oil change job before delivery) but it worries me that I got myself into a problematic car :( -praying for the best and expecting the worst though-

As for my car today, I made the next following vcds changes:

- disabled Seatbelt warning (childish mod but figure why not right?)
- added the ability to view the “Drive Mode” to display briefly on the MFD

That’s all because I couldn’t find the adaptation to add SOC :/

Below is a quote I stole from a thread online which i can’t find the original post for to credit (sorry)

“If you want to display your "driving mode" (sport/individual/comfort) on the MFD for a few seconds when you start the car do this.....
19- CAN Gateway
Long coding
Byte 8
Check Bit 4”

Cracked my VW plastic shit oil pan on my commute in to work.. Hit a not really too fuckin big piece of concrete on the highway.. Replaced it with same shit VW oil pan for $597.. Feeling really annoyed and quite ripped off cause if it was metal it wouldn't have cracked wide open like a fuckin walnut shell.. Serious design flaw and cost cutting bs..and it could easily happen again.. I ended up driving about 1/4 mile to nearest exit after the low oil pressure stop immediately light came on.. Shut it down.. Was nervous I caused engine damage but dealership said she's 100% and it does sound and feel fine so far.. Fuck plastic oil pans..

Does your insurance cover something like that? Give the dealership the finger, drive a rental, order a steel oil pan from USP for $60.

Parts vortex have the oil pan listed for $136, I would think at the very maximum they would need an hours labour plus the usual cost of an oil change service, so depending on those costs it should be around the correct price!! ?

I like traffic lights, I LIKE TRAFFIC LIGHTS, especially when they’re green, especially when they’re green!

CPO here too bought at 8400 miles, I noticed I was getting close to the minimum mark a couple weeks ago, then all of a sudden my light went on and I had almost nothing in the tank..

After some research I found it's semi-common with either the thermostat housing or water pump so it could be worse. I'd definitely mention it if you're under warranty.
