Installed oem mud guards today. First time taking all the wheels off and using the jack that comes with the car. Took a long time. Happy with the results. No pics yet. Gotta wash the car.

Installed New Suspension and Brakes

Just installed Koni Yellows all around (3/4 turn from full soft rear, 1 turn from full soft front) with ED Lowering Springs (reused all old hardware/non-trimmed bumpstops). Also installed new OEM rotors + EBC Red Fronts. Just came back from a cruise and the suspension is a dream! Car feels uber planted and takes corners with ease. Definitely stiffer than stock, but in a good way...the car feels so stable. Haven't taken it on the highway yet, will do further testing in the coming days. The pads haven't been broken in yet, but initial impressions are very solid!

Nice, you didn’t cut the rear bump stops and have no noises? Lucky you, I had to cut the rears because of the very annoying noise they were making. Good luck

ED recommended not cutting the bump stops because the gti already comes with short bumpstops. The drop is mild ~1.2". Took it out for a drive and everything was fine.

Busted out my Nogaros from storage and put them back on since I only ran them for ~800 miles and the tires have perfect tread. It has been threatening rain, and my Assetto Gara's wraped in DWS 06 were... far under the wear bars.

Also reinstalled the rear seats, all the boot trim and spare tire/tools. Not sure if I just reinstalled everything correctly, or if there was some issue with my old wheels or how things were installed from factory, but a lot of my squeaks and rattles are gone (ones that existed before I removed the rear of the car). There was a lot of rust on the left rear hub.

The tires, although not as good as the DWS 06, are performing great, probably since they actually have tread. I took the time to wash and wax the wheels, and apply some Sonax tire shine to the tires. I forgot how much I like the Nogaros.

Those look amazing. Don't see many HREs on MK7s. Well made, light and super unique. Can't wait to see what they look like mounted. [emoji106]

Well their price helps with the Uniqueness :D

They are sexy though.

Thanks man! I love the design so much and the bronze made it look even better. Maybe I will show up with them at the next Thursday night meet.

I actually vaguely remember my deautokey set being warmer than this set, but this set is the closest to 6000k pure white out of all the others I've tried. (I've tried at least 5 different sets with my deautokey connectors lol)

It's been a while since I used those and I could be remembering wrong, but I could easily check for you later tonight.

Edit: actually I bought my deautokey set off someone else... maybe they weren't the original LEDs

Yes - we switched to a higher CRI and cleaner 5k color temp on our license plates now vs the 6k. So they could be slightly different.

But this is the updated 5k clean white LEDs listing:

Quick cosmetic enhancements:

Deautokey LEDs in the glovebox and trunk/rear. Took 10 minutes total:

And got this little devil:
