Hi, I'm new here, Can you help?

I have a Mk7 Golf R, '64 plate (fab car...love it).

Had the car for 7 years now and its been superb...but.....

My car has developed a really weird problem...when I pull the stalk to activate the FRONT windscreen washer, the REAR wiper starts! No wash on the front, just rear wiper going. All very odd. I assume its a switch related problem but wanted to seek advice. Any ideas? Is this a known problem?

Thank you

Maybe for you and UK folks it means something, but to anyone else, it means nothing (Model year would be more practical and internationally understandable)

Do you have some errors stored in steering column module? What is showed in measured values from steering column module? Probably steering column module/stalk is faulty

Is this a known problem?
AFAIK not, the most popular issue with steering column module is snapped slip ring

Why do brits insist on this?

I had this problem for a week. I was pushing the stalk the wrong direction. Not even kidding. I felt like an idiot.

Thanks...you are right...I'm sorry...I'm new here so didn't think that "'64 plate" would be meaningless to many people. What I meant is the car is 2014 Golf R.
