Coming home from Silverwood theme park at only 60mph my ACC fails. That's weird I thought, so I press the button on my steering wheel to re-engage the cruise control. Error warning. With fun at the water slides with my gf still fresh on my mind, I think nothing of it-probably just a dirty radar sensor on the front bumper. I tune up a old school rap station and keep it moving.
Not long into a Spice1 song, a Subaru starts riding my ass on I-90 so I did the right thing, I speed up to about 90mph just to be a show off. It was weird though, because I kept in 6th gear but my RPM gauge just kept going from 4000 to 3000 and back up again. Like It was a catch issue. Well, I paid the price for trying to rev up speed to ditch that subaru because at only 72k miles on my 2017 GTI Autobahn, the clutch fails. I cruise in neutral by fire station 73 in Cle Elum to pull off the freeway. $980 for a tow truck, and I'm home eating a BBQ pizza from trader Joe's while starting at my broken GTI through a dusty window.
Any ideas? Failed slave cylinder maybe?
