congrats. beautiful s4, good to know i dodged a bullet by never getting one in that generation. but damn do they look and sound good!
Trust me you don't want to deal with their problems lol. Fun car when it ran great tho!

I will say if it wasn't for that car then I wouldn't be so attached to VW/Audi like I am now lol.

Sorry for the disappearance. Been busy with work and life that I've been slacking on forum activity but I do have some updates.

Latest cosmetic that I've done to the GTI: European License Plate

I also had a chip on my windshield that was bugging the crap out of me that I finally got around to getting fixed... cost me $50 so that wasn't so bad. After that, I put on the Weather Tech window deflectors. Its the simple things I like ykwim?

As far as parts goes, I still haven't installed my CTS TIP because lately in Michigan its either too cold out to work on my car or its raining... oh well. Also, I did purchase lowering springs and should be at my door next week hopefully. No rush on installment because the weather lately has been kind of crappy.

Note: As controversial as it is when it come to springs, I do intend to upgrading to coilovers but only time will tell. Lowering springs will get me far 'til then and look nice while doing so.

Hope all of you are doing well and hope your GTI/R's are happy!

In Michigan you only need the rear plates so I guess in the front you can put pretty much whatever.

They are super legal since we don’t need front plates as @Jose_Gti said haha.

Yeah the weather here has sucked lately. Its spring and it’s suppose to be 70’s right now!

I have the ECS breather hose kit ready to go when I swap the IS20.

I wasn't gentle with my pcv hose when I swapped in my TIP. I didn't undo the coil pack. I simply pulled the TIP, then rotated it back and forth until the damn hose let go.

I don't think you'll break it. I've got 50K on mine and if it was brittle I can garentee I would have broken it.

That said, I will not be dealing with that again. Just going to swap the ECS kit and then pull the hose off the TIP when the IS12 is off the car. Easy enough to install the TIP when the turbo is in.

Thank you - ain't cheap.

Anything you have to remove your inlet pipe, you'll be glad you have it though. Probably not worth getting "just because", but if you ever have to replace the breather hose, best to get that one.

2 days and 1 sprained wrist later, lowering springs are installed.

I freaking love it…

In regards to the TIP, I guess it wouldn’t hurt to install it next weekend. I will take everyones advice and not worry about buying the upgraded Breather Hose since I don’t necessarily need it. Getting it “just because” would be very redundant of me.

Looks great with the drop.

In terms of the breather hose, mine didn't give me any trouble at all when I did my TIP. Literally took me 2 seconds to get it off, it might have been luck of the draw but I wouldn't worry about getting a new breather hose since you're unlikely to ever take it off again unless you're swapping turbos, going back to stock, or installing a catch can/pcv block off setup.

Edit: Since you only swapped springs I'd recommend to start squirreling some cash on the side for either a strut swap or a coilover kit. Struts normally start to show their age around 60Kish miles but you have shortened that lifespan with the drop.
