Vibration?

did you try what sandman suggested by loosening the bolts and retorqueing by hand in a star pattern??

an incompetent tire shop would use an impact wrench to install with probably too high torque and uneven loading.

That i did. I change out my wheels in my garage. Hand tightened in a star pattern and i use a torque wrench.

i usually tighten in a star pattern with approximately 15 to 20 ft-lbf steps on each pass.

you did this on both sets and still had vibrations??

I don't think any car needs this much attention in order not to have vibrations. There's something wrong, period. I know we're trying to solve someone's issue but as a general statement, if it's vibrating and all seems to be in order, it has to be something else.

Agreed. I've literally been trying for 6 months to get the vibrations in my car figured out.

Sometimes it's operator error

Refer to my post. I've had my car into 5 different shops over the course of 6 months trying to get my vibration issue solved. in the process, I've gotten a suspension component replaced, I've replaced all 4 of my rims, gotten brand new lug bolts, brand new hubcentric rings, and I've gotten tire balances.

My car still vibrates.

Yes, but in trouble shooting you cover the basics in order to rule them out.
If the lights in a room are out, it might be that the switch is off, instead of replacing the light bulb first, try the switch. Then test the breaker.

Has VW given up?
Ask for a specialist.
Find a race oriented shop.
Problem might be harder to resolve.
We are just trying to help.
Hope you find the cause.

I've gotten a case number assigned from VW but I'm not sure I want to continue with this headache, in my case is not so bad as to have to go through my local dealers incompetence and the whole dreadful back and forth. Best of luck to you guys, if recommend reaching out directly to vw and let the warranty take care of this.

Haha nice! Someone get me some butter! Rough day at the office...you guys are my outlet. :D

No car vibrations here. Took it to 90 today just to see. Sans kids of course. Good luck to you guys who are experiencing the issue. I've dealt with it in other cars...not fun.
