Vibration

Hi all.. Quick question.. Driving the car at anything up to 70mph no problem steering wheel fine all good. Above 70 my there is a vibration, but the steering wheel doesn't vibrate it feels further down.. Anyone got any ideas car has done 3200 miles some slowly some twice the speed limit...

Wow could be a number of things bud. Firstly check your tyre pressure, alignment and wheel balancing. If all good get your bearings and drive shaft checked. Could also be a suspension issue. A video of the noise or more detailed post could help a little more

Found the cause. .. wheel needed balancing ..... I have therefore had all 4 wheel s balanced and checked over .. result car now travelling at motorway speeds with no vibrations

i've had the same symptoms come up from losing a wheel weight (thus balance thrown off), but also from ice buildup inside the wheel (behind a spoke) during winters, which creates the same off balance situation. luckily with the ice buildup usually the vibration also ends up breaking off the ice.
