Vent direction adjuster fell off

I went to adjust my vent (2017 R) and the directional adjustment handle fell right off. Seems more like a defect than normal wear and tear, considering that it's not exposed to extreme heat (tinted windows, plus I'm relatively north) and I've only touched the thing a handful of times, but I'm out of warranty so it's on me regardless.

Should I buy the whole assembly 5G1-819-703-H-QYI (5G1819703HQYI) or is there a more specific fix?
