Friend has a Golf R which needs VCDS to learn a new haldex pump we installed yesterday, anyone in or around Charlottesville own VCDS?
I have VCDS near Cville.
Is this just to check the Haldex oil temperature for filling purposes? I see nothing about an adaption required for a new pump in the manual.
So he wants to do these procedures? He tried priming the pump and nothing happens? Pump fault code is gone? Did he try putting 12v to the pump off the car to see if it moves? He tried to clear all adaptation values already? This is for a friends 2015 DSG Golf R, we are trying to get his rear haldex unit working. His car is APR stage 2 and tuned since it was almost new, we replaced the pump and fluids last week since that is what usually fails. But it seems that we can't get the pump to turn on still using OBD11. I'm thinking now he might have a bad Haldex module. He had a pump fault error code before we replaced the pump.
I remember reading VCDS can run a pump learn routine of sorts, though honestly im not sure if that applies to his R or not.
Thanks for the reply!
