VCDS Micro-CAN compatibility

Can anyone confirm the micro-can cable is compatible with the mk 7/7.5 gti? I have a 2018 mk 7.5. I found a local seller for $150 (decent price?).

Newer MK7s Have longer CAN Messages which the older Hex+CAN VCDS hardware cannot support. You'll need a newer Hex-Net or HexNetv2 in order to fully communicate with newer modules, especially on 7.5s.

The software limitation for VCDS is for '19s as far as I can tell, so your Hex+Can might be able to work for some functions. I know my hex+can couldn't access everything on my '17, so Upgraded via their trade in program.

It is not the hex can. Micro is a different cable. Their product page does list mk 7 but i am not sure if its fully compatible with 7.5. It does say 2019+ is not compatible. I posted in case anyone has one and can confirm with a 2018.

I have a 2018 R and use a micro-can VCDS, it does 99% of what I needed it to do.
