Search for “Tagfahrlicht nur in Schalterstellung Auto” and set the value to “not active”.

Search term means: DRL in Auto position only.

Double checked on my NA '17 GTI, if I set "Daytime running lamps-Tagfahrlicht nur in Schalterstellung AUTO" from "not active" (my vehicle setting) to "active" (your vehicle setting as in your pdf) the DRL don't turn on in 0. If I revert it back to "not active" they come on in 0 too.

Somehow my VCDS dedicated laptop stopped working, it might be just pissed that I haven't used it in years  . Don't quite like the way to extract adaptations w/ OBD11.

A couple of years ago I saved the following adaptation maps from my car while it still had factory fitted LP headlights.

By any chance, is the headlight switch and coding still factory in your car?

The headlight switch and non-matching coding might be the problem.

My Golf has the older BCM (built date summer 2016), so via long coding I can adjust the headlight switch settings. My car came w/ auto lights, front fogs. I replaced the headlight switch with a European switch that has additionally rear fog light as well. Here are my settings:

Michael: Hi.

Without intending any offense - the values in your BCM admap are very strange (even for a "Yankee" Golf - which is different to other model Golfs on the rest of this blue planet)!!

As already discussed, this car was programmed for the DRLs to operate ONLY when the rotary light switch was on the AUTO position. So, implementing @ZERO815 suggestion is a necessary change.

However, stuff is even more puzzling with the DRL Leuchte-set values. It appears from the admap values for Leuchte 4/5 that the BCM has been told to operate DRL lamps that have incandescent bulbs - but for some unknown reason Leuchte 3/4 has also been activated (with very odd values).

Normally on MQB platform vehicles, Leuchte 3/4 is ONLY activated if the car uses LED type DRL lamps (the extra Leuchte-sets are needed to control the power supply for the LED lamps). So, I have to ask - What flavor DRL lamps are actually installed on this car?

Don
