Cars from the US and I'm interested in the question:
1. Is it possible with the help of a SD card to replace the firmware with the same but for Europe.

I found a lot of firmware, but none of them fit. (MST2_US_VW_P0635D_MU0757, MST2_EU_VW_P0891D_MU0891)

The purpose of this is to change the language of the menu (it would be great to have a native Ukrainian).
Simply put - replacing the firmware with an identical one but for a different region!

I have no complaints about the work of the system. There are minor glitches in the work of Androidauto, but it is not important and tolerable.

Chillout if you would not mind offering me any advice ..... Just bought a 16 Reg Golf Cabriolet with the non SatNav version of the MIB2 . When I check the info it says

Hardware H22
Software 0245
Media Codec 2101.0.0.10

At the moment bluetooth is not working and neither are Android Apps or Voice. VW in Kent want £250 to allow ( code) Android Carplay and are going to look at the bluetooth. Any point upgrading the firmware for this unit or will they do this when the enable Apps.

There are only 3 languages:
English
Spanish
I do not remember the third (definitely not my native language ...))))
VCDS does not help.

With MIB 2.

Recently the infotainment has been glitching. The sound volumes/settings seem to jump around sporadically.
I can get in the car today and it will be fine. Then later on today I could get in turn ignition on and mid or treble or even bass has jumped right up, or dropped to 0. Sometimes even the fader would have jumped the sound to the passenger side or all over the drivers side.
I don't have vw warranty so can't take it to a dealer to see if there's an update and/or get it replaced.
Is there a software update I can do?

also found a page - Vagupdate. Which can give a firmware download at $80 but not sure if this would be an answer.

any help appreciated.

I have dynaudio system.

The soft reboot of holding power button in works sometimes. But usually have to do it 2/3 times and then it settles down

I've replaced the amplifier with an aftermarket dsp/amplifier as the dynaudio wasn't to my taste. Aswell as new speakers and sub.

Had my regular audio installer do the work. And has worked for several weeks before starting to go glitchy.

Have been reading on owners club and forums that the MIB2 unit is quite glitchy anyway. Prior to the audio install the unit occasionally was on without sound coming out and would need to be turned off and on again etc.
We are trying to rule out whether its the headunit and or software. As a new or upgraded unit is around £1200.
Is there any software update that I could use that is newer than the 0814?
Willing to pay for an update file....

^^ Why do you think you need a software update? My '16 ran that exact same hardware & software version and it was flawless. My advice: if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

A map update, that's a different story. Definitely could use an update there. You might try reaching out to Peter (@peterdna) via Instagram - he sells current maps with the hokey protection removed so that they will run in any MIB unit.

Hi all..new user here and just bought an RLine 2017 Scirocco UK spec (TDI).

Lovely car but I suspect the software is out of date. I updated the maps to latest version but I can't seem to find anything for my infotainment. I believe I have the MIB2 Std EU version and like a previous poster I came across vag update site where they charge a small fee for the files.

I have already paid the fee to the dealer to activate Carplay and that works fine. I am just concerned the update might remove the AA and Carplay activation.

Everything works and sounds fantastic so I am also trying to understand what the benefits of the upgrade may be?

If you can help me with the install files without having to go via vag update...even better!
