So just watched (live) most of the 2hr long Q&A session that Volodymyr Zelenskyy gave to a massed media. Basically as he was being asked by so many for one to one interviews, which he said he didn't have time for..so did this & in metro station to be safe from bombing..

Russia complaining about UK SAS men in Lviv......Now "if" they are there why is it bad/wrong?...yet its OK for you to bring in the Wagner group & Chechen mercenaries??...

Yes some of the UK special lot were in western Ukraine (openly) well before the war & have been on & off since Crimea (2014) helping to train & bring up to more advance fighting standards what was left of the Ukrainian forces after the defeat in 2014...

Whether any have decided to take an extended "holiday" whilst the war is on, is another matter.......

Much like the Gurkha's....my grandfather was them in Burma.....they used to go out at night, stalking the Jap advance units & kill them (with their kukri) before they knew what happened!

Also in the UK military, the RMC, the SBS, & Paras ought to be mentioned in a similar breath!......maybe they need a "busman's holiday"....???..

That's hardcore! I bet he had some stories to tell!

Yes he did...he was in REME....(moto "by skill & by fighting")...however in most cases they were "last out"..& others "first in".......& drove up with his "men" from the Africa campaign to Burma...& Burma was still happening long after VE day.....& literally like the scene in the film Bridge on the River Kwai...ie blowing the bridges up behind themselves to stop the Japs....Had the Gurkha's with him for a while in Burma..

Fought with Gurkhas in central Baghdad… would gladly have them on my side again.

........You can trust them 100%...& not "show off" either...

There is a joke doing the rounds in Russia in which a wife asks her husband what the conflict in Ukraine is about. "It’s a proxy war between us and NATO," he tells her. “How are we doing?” “So far, we have lost 15,000 troops, eight generals, and our Black Sea flagship.” “And NATO?” “They haven’t shown up yet.”
