What unholy spam is that?
So they definitely got help from a third party and are using "temperature inversion" to explain away how they definitely DIDN'T get help.
I know I've brought this up before but.......why? Why trade for her at all, especially trade a arms dealer for a WNBA player who brought drugs into a country where those drugs are illegal. I understand to some degree the idea that it is a government's job to protect its citizens at home and abroad but this trade just doesn't make any sense. Unless you consider that an arms dealer has plenty of cash and plenty of palms were likely greased to make this happen on both ends of the table. Too bad for Whelan he doesn't have a great layup or black market money.Reporter: Russia allegedly wants assassin freed in exchange for Whelan | Watch (msn.com)
Ex-national security adviser says Russians were willing to free Paul Whelan under Trump (msn.com) That was a long time ago and before that basketball person.
Let's hope it is a photoshop....What unholy spam is that?
Why? Look at the makeup and "woke" goals of the current administration. Combine that with the media attention and Putin created the perfect storm for him to get Bout back.So they definitely got help from a third party and are using "temperature inversion" to explain away how they definitely DIDN'T get help.

As I understand it they wanted somebody else released for the guyWhy are people upset that Griner getting selected over Whelan for the exchange?
On edit. Looks like they were trying to get both, Russia said no for Whelan… but my previous question still stands. Why is everyone upset.
They're upset because we were able to get a pot smoking athlete out of trouble and there are American citizen with military ties (less than honorable discharge btw) who's being charged with espionage is still in prison. It's the optics of priorities, with a dash of a variant of "missing white woman"Why is everyone upset.

Also white and male and straight. Take your pick as to which the people who are up in arms about this care most about here from the demographics.Ex-marine, bad conduct discharge, he gets negative points.

If the butthurt could read they'd be real upset right nowI didn’t make it past this amazing read.
There's a lot more that goes into the equation that people are overlooking. With this deal, Putin got exactly what he wanted - he showed how "woke" the west is (whether or not that is true) AND he got his guy back.
That wouldn't have happened with Whelan.
It was a very bad move.
