Many years since I have done this and top of petrol engines have changed out of all recognition since my Mk 2 petrol Golf and Lupo.

The NGK website doesn't list plugs for the CHZD 85kw engine. Only PKER7A8EGS for the CHZC 81kw engine. I think that the same plugs are used for both engines, but I've sent a tech email to NGK.

Do I really need a puller to get the ignition coil off/out of the head?? Or will a gentle steady pull release the coil?

A long reach slim plug socket I can probably manage.

Thanks.

I have a "Laser" brand puller...makes it easy...but even then & did them with the engine hot.....& you will need their (VW) grease to put on the end of the pencil lead to stop it welding to the spark plug....

You can also use zip ties to Make it a bit easier. just slip one over front and one on rear of the coil pack, and pull upward
