Let us know what part number turbo they replace it with! Maybe you'll get that new G turbo [emoji41].
Sorry to hear. I'm sure you switched back to a stock mode before going back to the dealer. Did you leave the intake on?

Local dealership, Hewlett Volkswagen.Which dealership? Mine didn't seem to care too much about tuning on my Mk6.

Sorry about your loss bud. How long after you loaded the tune did the turbo fail? Also did it happen shortly after a cold start? Did you happen to notice what your oil temps were? That would be cool
Yeah, left the intake on. I also have other exterior mods that I left on as well.
My car has just about 10k miles, I put the intake and APR stage 1 on around 4k miles.
Thanks, I had the tune on for the approximate 6k hard miles I put on the car. I don't drive it all too gentle. It was around 2 am and I was taking a study break to inn & out. Didn't let the car warm up too long about 5 minutes. After I let it warm up I drove just under a mile to the highway and after a few miles it gave out. I don't think the tune had had anything to do with the failure. I did not log the oil temp, but I do know it was about 35 degress F when it happened.Sorry about your loss bud. Thanks and excuse the questions. I am trying to piece certain things together.
That's where I bought mine, but Brink motorsports told me to use Hewlett in Georgetown because they're more mod friendly.I bought my Mk6 from Maund on Burnett. They've treated me pretty well despite the mods.

No worries, I'm always happy to answer any questions![]()
None, that's why I was so surprised. I typically check on my car every day, if not every other day for issue signs. I hadn't notice a single thing wrong. After it blew I heard the whine lol. I instantly knew it was the turbo, couldn't really get the car over 40mph, loud whine going over around 2300-3000 rpms and all the white smoke. A sad day indeed, but I hopefully get her back tomorrow, mechanic only needed the oil line to come in over the weekend.Damn.... Looks like the turbos are simply just poorly designed or manufactured.
Were there any signs of failure? Like the siren noise or any whining on cold starts?
There are any known Revision G Turbo failure ?
I haven't heard of any. Might be the one turbo to fix them all! [emoji24]
