Turbo Failure Status Poll

I created this poll to make a count of how many turbos failed, how many of them were tuned, and how many turbos failed compared to the total tuned and untuned cars.

For this, I beg everyone to at least vote so we can get a rough estimate of how serious this problem is.

The problem exists sadly, and when you have one blow and destroy your engine and get little support from vw which leaves you feeling like crap! Bear in mind the GTi is on its 5th revision of Turbo within 14months and the Golf R on its 4th iirc.....a sure fire indication of an issue that needs a fix ASAP. I've been stuck without a car for 3 months as a result and am now directing my concerns to the M.D of VW U.K

Add another choice. (Drive like an idiot). (Drive normal).
I am sure this car is designed to drive somewhat normal and not like you would on a race track. Remember race car drivers have a pit crew and mechanic in shop to rebuild turbo after races. Yours is a daily driver unless you upgrade it.

i wouldn't defend vw and blame the drivers so quickly. the older cars were bulletproof turbo-wise, for the most part. the failure rate so far with mk7 is surprising
