How loud are they in the street? In the winter, do you need to put some heat in them?

On my car they are quiet and totally fine through New England winters. Pads have held up on all tracks pushing very hard. You have to make sure you bed them in according to Ferodo's website when you install them. Only takes 15 minutes and you are done until next change.
