TrA in MFD. What does it mean?

Car just back from 38k service and TrA 80% has appeared on the screen (along with acc not working, but at least I know what that means, if not why it's not working!).

Anyone seen this before and know what it means?

We have the same car, roughly the same age. I have no idea what that means. Never seen anything like it.

Yeah, I couldn't find anything in any of the menus. I'm just guessing, but could the Tr stand for transmission?! What aspect of the transmission can be at 80%? I'm pretty sure this is linked to the reason why acc and front assist is not currently working.

Could it be Transport mode, do your wipers work ?

transport mode... bring it back to dealer for them to change it back

Happened to my mk7 after a service and a software update!!! Dealership didn't spot it!

They need it back to run the diagnostics again

Windscreen wipers and washers work ok. But other things not working are headlight washers, coming home lighting, start/stop and interior lighting when door is opened.

Don't think they updated software. Version looks the same as before. Looks like another trip back to see them. I wonder if the TrA % will go up or down the more I drive it?!

As others have said, sounds like transport mode, all cars have a transport mode before being delivered, just looks like they've turn it on with the update.

Thanks. Guess I'll find out sooner or later. It's going to be a few days at least until I can take it back.

A real pain but I suppose it could be worse. My dealer told me that they leave the factory in transport mode which restricts them to 10mph. If this is transport mode at 80%, presumably there is not too much restriction on your cars performance?

The car goes as well as it always has. All the driver profile modes work and I got it up to about 60-70mph on my way back home so I couldn't really notice any difference.

Hi, same things happened to my car this morning
Just collected it from service and TRA 60% displayed, then changed to 70%
Dealer doesnt know what it is.

Stop start not working and radio turns off even before i take the key out of ignition.

Drove to work this morning (also noticed the rear wiper wasn't working) but after 30 miles, the TrA went away, the trip mileage came back and all the things that had stopped working were working again. Except for stop/start, that wasn't working but maybe it'll come back to life on the way home. Saves me another visit to the dealer anyway.

I wonder if the battery was disconnected - perhaps? Maybe I don't know, it needs charging ?

TRA 80%

I collected my car after its second annual service last Saturday and as I drove off noticed the text 'TRA 80%' where the trip mileage should be. I drove straight back to the dealer and told the service adviser who said she'd never heard of this message before but would get the technician who'd performed the service to look at it. 5 minutes later my car was returned with the message gone. The technician said it was a fault in the latest software from VW that they download during the service and it refers to the 'Transportation mode' that the cars are put in for delivery from the factory. Whilst the message is displayed I was told that it would have had no effect on the power available. The aircon was set to 'off' though in the climate control display.
