Every damn time. Whoever changed the settings, please fix it as it’s a pain to try and close. There’s no way to block these ads either.

Cell phone most likely. If you have ad block on pc or tablet it doesn’t happen.

On an Android phone you can install the Firefox browser and install the ad block extension.
I don't know about iPhones.

You can tap the blurry section above the ad after a few seconds. Don’t bother trying to find the little microscopic “x”.
