Thanks for posting that recipe again!

NP! glad you mentioned it again! I've been running carbnite for the last few weeks & forgot about these...will make a nice snack.

Kram, what bands do you use? The ones I've got are getting a bit dodgy and I should probably replace them.

Actually my gym finally got several sets, so I stopped bringing in mine from home. I have JumpStretch bands which, from what I've been told are identical to IronWoody bands. I've never messed with EliteFTS bands, so don't know how they line up to JS/IronWoody.

I believe this is what my gym now has: http://www.power-systems.com/p-3336-strength-bands.aspx - The tensions are a bit different than mine...i.e. purple doesn't feel like it has as much tension & the green feels like it has more compared to mine. For something like tricep pushdowns, I can do sets of 20 with my green band & barely get 12~15 with the gym green band. Sometimes I just double up a couple purples. I'd rather mess up the gym's bands than mine... :D

Would it be beneficial to find a gym that has branches nationwide? I know Anytime Fitness even has branches opening in Europe if you travel internationally to those destinations. Anytime Fitness is literally just a bunch of cardio and gym equipment in a big room with a bathroom and a tanning bed somewhere but that's much better than a hotel gym.

I have done this and used banana protein and water+crystal light instead fo apple juice. Pure morning mouth sex. Mango is my favorite fruit and it's amazing!

I am a member of Goodlife fitness which has locations all across Canada so I can usually find one close by. They don't have any in the USA though and I'm there quite a bit as well. My longest trips are 4 days so worst case scenario I just use the hotel gym and try to make the best of it. I may have to look into the bands like kram said though.

I love mango as well, it is one of my favorite fruits.

The one with the peanut butter??

Yep, here's the recipe again, though I've added a bit more whey to it to get a full serving in each glass.

16 oz unsweetened almond milk
1/2 cup cottage cheese
4 scoops choc whey
half a banana
2 tbsp natural PB
2 tbsp of flax seed - I sometimes add this if I'm looking for some extra omegas for the day

That's a serious protein shake. That must be 600-800 calories easy!

Forgot to mention, this is two servings for me. Comes out to around 500 per serving with the flax seed or 425 without.

Also, muscle memory is fucking awesome. I went over a month without lifting after I moved to my apartment.

Been back at it for about a month now and I'm already back to the weights I was at before (for the most part), though my reps are down a bit.

Most I've done in a single set for each of the big three are 315x5 for deadlifts, 275x5 for squats (and my form is MUCH MUCH better - ass to grass!), and 200x5 for incline bench.

Dang, dude. That's awesome! A little ridiculous (in a good way), but awesome

The result of 90 miles on a bike lmao...

Tomorrow's adventure is a a 16 mile run and a 2.4 mile swim (85 down and back laps in a regular gym pool).

5 weeks from tomorrow until Ironman Louisville!
