Picked up a leftover 2019 GTI S DSG ($30,575 MSRP) for $23,200 before TTL. This includes the VW partner. I think the dealer was able to offer me a good sales price because they would absolutely not budge on the etch ($250) and DOC fee ($525). This came out to $25,875 OTD. Any thoughts on this deal?

2019 Golf Sportwagen SE
MSRP $31,440 with VW Care 10k 20k service

Paid $25,600 out the door including $500 partner discount. 72 months @ 0%

Thrilled to get another Sportwagen to go along with my 17 4motion Sportwagen. Can't believe VW is dropping the Sportwagen from the lineup. Happy to get a 19 with the 6/72 Warranty. Also, love the White Silver!

I was looking for 2019 GTI SE w/ DSG
Most of the dealers I contacted was either 0% APR for around 35k OTD, or standard VW APR for like 32K OTD
Is that reasonable?

Thanks

For those who don't like the OTD numbers. $300 dealer doc fee, $200 tags and title plus 6% sales tax. Paid $23,400 for the car.

1st time GTI owner here! Such a fun car... I’m actually “downgrading” from a 2014 328i but doesn’t feel like it!

Just took the plunge over July 4th weekend (figured the COVID deals were starting to go away so had to act...)

Got a 2019 GTI SE DSG + Experience Package... MSRP $35,395, paid $28,398 before TTL ($7K off)

Had to take standard financing vs. 0% to get that dealer discount, but figured I’ll just refinance it w/ a credit union or something in a couple months

With the better warranty + incentives on 2019s not sure why anyone would want to buy a 2020...

How’d I do?

I went 2019>2020 as well, primarily for the warranty. Good score!

Congrats and welcome to the forum. Sounds like a good deal especially in your part of the country.

I used to drive a 2013 A4 manual before getting my first GTI. I thoroughly enjoyed both of them as they have their own merits.

That is a very good deal. I went to pick up a leftover 2019 GTI S DSG for 25K but ended up getting a leftover 2019 GLI S DSG for 22,800 (MSRP was just over 28,000). The lowest I would have been able to get that GTI was 24,500. They push the etch fee at every dealer I went to, that DOC fee is about 100 bucks high. You did great IMO. I also got zero percent financing and 2 year maintenance included (which is about 2 free oil changes, lol).

New to the forum. Was looking hard at getting a Golf R but found a leftover 2019 GTI and the numbers made too much sense for me to pass up.

2019 GTI SE DSG
MSRP $35,350. SE Experience Package, Monster Mats, VW Care for 20k, Bumperdillo, Luggage Net
$26,850 +TTL.

I'm sure there were better deals out there, but it was good enough for me to pull the trigger. They also gave me top dollar for my trade which was a requirement for me. They matched the previous high offer I had gotten. Dealers must be desperate for vehicles because my trade value has gone up $3-4k since I last looked at pulling the trigger in March. Crazy. Looking forward to learning on the forum.

Leftover 2019 GTI SE w/Exp (6M).
MSRP $35,450. SE Exp, VW Care for 50k, Monster Mats, Auto dimming mirror, cargo net, bumperdillo.
$28,300 +TTL with 0% for 72.

Not as good as @SweetWater420, but still feel decent about it with the 0%. My first car, just graduated college. Super excited to be here!

EDIT - and free delivery by the dealer, car was 400 miles away. Johnson City VW in TN and they’ve still got a 2019 Autobahn 6M.
