Hello guys, I just ordered Helix Subwoofer for Passat B8 Variant 2019 Facelift...will I need to do this coding to get the best sound? Oh, I just realized that you are all located in US OK, no go for me in Europe.

Yes.
VW states that it comes pre-programmed for your car from the factory. It's been proven to not necessarily be true all of the time. I would recommend going through the dongle process simply to pick which one you think sounds the best.

It would bother me always wondering if there's a better sound file out there without trying it myself.
