Further left? I thought they were extreme right? The left has gone so far off the deep end, I guess normalcy looks left now.

I've been saying he's the most liberal Republican for years now. The left paints him as extreme right because they focus on his rhetoric instead of his policies.

Debt is the only way to destroy this nation... And division, which may come to fruition as well.

Cool picture - now add the Biden administration, and while we're at it, add the admins before Obama, but make sure you keep the x axis the same. The fact that things stayed on trajectory until the pandemic when Congress (led by Pelosi) decided to hand out money to "boost the economy" and the Fed decided to cut interest rates to near zero to stimulate spending isn't really all Trump's fault. Sure, he signed it into law, but so did the House and the Senate.
Since you're keen on the economy, let's talk about how the Fed decided to cut interest rates again yesterday even though they haven't reached their inflation target of 2 percent. I mean, a Biden appointee wouldn't try to sabotage the next administration on purpose, right?

I wasn't holding any spending during COVID against him, as that would be unfair. But if you want to bring that up, then it was the Republican Congress who had to stop Trump and his fellow liberals from handing out more money.

Yes, the Biden economy and deficit were also horrible (worse even). But what is your argument exactly? That two fiscally liberal Presidents make a right? Ultimately, the federal budget falls on the President, so both Biden and Trump deserve 100% of the blame for the deficit spanning 2017-2024.

We're not on a good trajectory, so things "staying on trajectory" is not good. We need a fiscal conservative who can reverse course before it's too late.

My argument is that blaming the president, any president, for ALL of the stupid politicians is ignorant. I never said that staying on trajectory is a good thing. I was simply pointing out the fallacy in your implication that Trump was the cause of the Covid spending spree.

They used to talk about increasing the debt ceiling...now they just do it. We need a balanced budget about 20 years ago. Congress is more to blame than any recent President, some have been in office for decades.

That wasn't my implication.

It'll be interesting to see how long this 'America first' mantra lasts. His admin picks seem to indicate that we're about to sacrifice a lot in defense of Israel.
