Here’s a short vid if it helps anyone. I have the EQT DSG base tune and absolutely enjoy it.
Can you explain to me what's happening? Maybe I'm not catching it. On mobile. Quality kinda sucksHere’s a short vid if it helps anyone. I have the EQT DSG base tune and absolutely enjoy it.

Correct, and if you watch closely it holds 4th while cruising around 1900rpm ~40mph instead of 6th at 1200rpm bogging along. He was showing that when you're in 5th gear and floor it the trans drops down to 2nd gear instantly. If you do that with the OEM DSG tune it may not drop back to 2nd gear and whatever gear is does drop to there will be a 3 second delay minimum for the trans to react.
I explain a bit more in the description of the video on YouTube but Jim layed out my intention. Can you explain to me what's happening? Maybe I'm not catching it. On mobile. Quality kinda sucks
I need this..even though my power is stock. I usually drive in manual because I dont like the programming on D or S mode. Generally theyre ok but like the rest of everyone here there is room for improvement. Here’s a short vid if it helps anyone. I have the EQT DSG base tune and absolutely enjoy it.

Fake News!!! The new APR DQ381 7-Speed DSG tune just came out early December and that video is from almost 3 years ago.
Nice try though.
Definitely, or really hooning on it. D is perfect for daily and paddles for a more personal touch. For the track, maybe?
Have to give a second update after swapping over to the EQT DSG map.
Wow.
As someone who thought I was perfectly fine with D, I finally understand what people talk about when they say this is the way it should have come from the factory. The video daconchslop posted really does sum it up well. Driving around town normally, it still feels pretty similar to stock. I was worried it would make D too aggressive for just going to the grocery store, or running basic errands. It doesn't. But when you actually put your foot down, it drops down (usually to 2nd from what I've seen) very quickly, and starts behaving similar to how S mode would, but slightly more aggressive.
The two Cobb maps I used for a bit, OEM+ and Sport, barely made any difference in the way it behaves. If you put me blindly behind a wheel, I would probably struggle to tell you if it was untuned, Cobb OEM+, or Cobb Sport. They're that similar. The EQT one really does a better job transforming the way it drives. I don't have any highway time with it yet, but don't think I'll be disappointed.
One thing I will say, is the S mode now is way too aggressive, to the point of being unusable. I don't see why you would want it to function that way. For the track, maybe? I don't know. Regardless, it doesn't bother me though, as I don't see a reason to need it. D mode now covers both D and S perfectly fine.
I have had my rev (v2.03) since Nov/19. There hasn’t been any update since. When is the next version going to be released?
How many charged updates since release?
Will there ever be a final tune, or can we keep expecting to pay 25.00 every time?
