Been considering a DSG tune, but $400 is a heavy price tag considering I'm not sure how much I would benefit\enjoy it. About me and my car:
- 2016 SE, EQT Stage 2 tune
- 80% - 90% of my driving is in D, which is fine. I can go to the grocery store or run errands around town without building more than 10lbs of boost. When I'm running to the store, I don't care than I'm in 5th gear at 40mph.
- S is useless to me. If I'm not putzing around in D and want something more aggressive (highway on ramps, basic highway driving, etc...), I want something more aggressive. So I just use manual mode at that point.
- I don't track my car. I don't launch my car. Hell, my tune doesn't even have launch control enabled. So I don't think I'd benefit from 'increased clamping pressure' or 'removes factory limitations in torque management'.
